Little Boy Blue

© Michael J. Bryant, BMI

Little boy blue come blow your horn
Sheep are in the meadow, cow’s in the corn
Come blow your horn, that golden horn
The sheep are in the meadow, the crazy lazy cows are in the corn

Hey diddle diddle the cat played the fiddle
The pig played the tambourine
He was a virtual Rhythm machine when he played that thing
The cat would start to shimmy when the pig would jingle-jimmy that tambourine

CHORUS:
When the blue boy gets to blowin’ the cat his fiddle bowin’
The roosters, hens and horses join in with their voices
‘Cause it sounds so fine with that pig keepin’ time
All around the barnyard the critters start to kickin’
They line up in a line and then they do the funky-chicken
‘Cause it sounds so sweet - Can’t help but tap your feet

Was an old lady, live in a shoe
She loved to hear that bugle when he played the blues
She said play that thing, and make the whole world swing
So when the Blue Boy started blowin’ the notes would start to flowin’
She would dance and sing

Little Goosy Gander love to play pianer so that ask ‘em would he join the band
He said now that’d be grand, I’ve always been a fan
So while the left hand played the boogie, the right hand played the woogie
It was crazy man

[CHORUS]

A little boy named Forest came up with the chorus
And he wants us all to join along
He says now here’s my song, why don’t you sing along
There’s really nothing to it, just put your voices to it, now you can’t go wrong

Little boy blue come blow your horn
Sheep are in the meadow, cow’s in the corn
Come blow your horn, that golden horn
The sheep are in the meadow, the crazy lazy cows are in the corn
